Recently I've met a few people who are physically afraid of death.
Why?
It's not going to happen instantaneously. The chances are you'll have plenty time to have a normal, long and healthy life.

Love it!! I can easily apply this to my relationships, they always end and it is sad and makes me scared of getting involved with anyone, platonic or otherwise. It just gets so tiring trying to rebuild that over and over again. On the flipside, I have no fear of death. I've spend the better part of the last decade wishing for it, lol (it's okay, I've been to therapy and stuff). This is probably my fave one!
