On Wednesday, June 2, 2010, a "quiet" man, Derrick Bird, when on a gun rampage in several small locations across Cumbria, north-west England. Thirteen people, including him, were killed, the majority of them strangers, all of them innocent.
The reason for the rampage is under debate. It was originally thought he flipped over a will, but recent claims suggest his tax oweings were almost six times what he earned annually, and he decided to commit suicide.
